Wealth Management Tax Associate

We have partnered with a national wealth management firm to identify a strong tax associate to join their growing team in Denver.  If you’re ready to escape public accounting but want to continue growing your tax career, this is the perfect opportunity!  Our client works with High-Net-Worth individuals offering comprehensive wealth management services.  You will be working hand in hand with clients to offer tax preparation and planning services.   

This role will require between 50-60 hours a week during busy season but will only be 20-30 hours a week after 4/15 and 10/15.  Our client also gives the option to work remotely about 90% of the time. 

Responsibilities:

Support Partner/Senior Advisor on client matters, including:

• Prepare and review complex Federal and state income tax returns for high-net-worth individuals and their related business entities
• Coordinate client meetings including preparation of meeting materials
• Determine service requirements and manage daily client activities applying problem-solving strategies
• Answer client questions and respond to client inquiries
• Assist planning and investment team members and practice leaders with income tax research
• Prepare financial exhibits and analysis – such as net worth statements, cash flow statements, estate tax forecasts, balance sheets, flow charts, asset allocations, and portfolio analysis

Some bookkeeping support in QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field
• 1-3 years of work experience in tax, preferably in public accounting
• Experience working with HNW individuals on tax related matters
• General proficiency in financial modeling is strongly preferred
• CPA or CPA eligible preferred, but not required
