Job Description
We have been engaged by the CFO of an Upstream Oil & Gas Company to help them identify someone for a Tax Director. This person will lead the tax department (#1 person in tax) in all matters related to compliance, tax reporting and accounting, audit management and response, planning and tax minimization, indirect taxes and other tax related projects.

Job Requirements
What the Tax Director will be responsible for:
- Overseeing all income and indirect tax matters
- Use of outside service providers
- Preparing quarterly and annual tax provision for a publicly traded company
- Communicating with accounting and finance management
- Managing a Tax Manager and 2 Seniors
Background we prefer for the Tax Director position:
- Bachelor's required and advanced degree preferred
- Prior Big 4 or large firm experience
- Prior energy, natural resources or extraction industry experience
- Minimum of 8-10 years of tax experience
- Strong communication skills
