Tax Associate (Cool Local Firm)

We love working with this firm and so will you! Our client is looking for an experienced Tax Associate to help fill out a professional and dynamic tax department. Though they are a public accounting firm, they are not bound by many of the typical methods used by a lot of other public accounting firms. Employees are treated with respect and professionalism and are trusted to manage their time off responsibly. Therefore, there is no formal time off policy and there is flexibility to work outside of a typical 8 to 5 schedule. Because business is booming for this firm, there is no pressure to sell or bring in more clients. This firm's clients are HWN and UHNW individuals and tend to have interesting and challenging issues.  They deal with complex partnerships, international tax issues, family office and detailed tax planning issues.  This is definitely not your typical local firm work.  In fact, many on the team come from Big 4 or large firms where they deal with complex tax issues like these.

As an experienced Tax Associate for our client you'll be responsible for preparation of complex federal and state income tax returns for individuals and a variety of entities.

Here's a list of skills necessary for the position:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Masters in Tax is a plus)
• 1 – 3 years of recent experience in a public accounting firm
• Must be a CPA or CPA eligible
• Strong communication skills
• Enjoys more complex tax work and research

Qualified candidates will probably have a title such as:  Tax Associate, Senior Tax Associate, Tax Manager, Tax Consultant, Tax Specialist, Tax Accountant, Senior Tax Accountant, CPA, etc..
