Job Description

Under the direction of the Tax Manager, the Tax Accountant will assist with the compliance and filing of company income tax returns. This position will be responsible for preparing Federal, State, and International income tax work papers, provisions and returns. This role will have an international tax compliance emphasis. The Tax Accountant will assist the Tax Manager with the quarterly and annual income tax accounting computations in accordance with ASC 740 for SEC reporting. The Tax Accountant I position requires a person who displays a strong work ethic and attention to detail and deadlines. Flexible work location – Colorado preferred.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Income Tax Compliance

  • Gather information and prepare federal, state, and international tax workpapers for review.
  • Prepare federal, state, and international returns for review.
  • Assisting foreign subsidiaries with review of local tax filings as required.
  • Assisting with transfer pricing documentation, benchmarking, research, and policies.
  • Research international tax treatment of Company transactions.
  • Preparing, review and filing FBAR returns.
  • Assistance and responding to various tax audits.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of increasingly complex tax concepts.

Tax Provision

  • Preparing quarterly and annual tax provisions under US GAAP and statutory financial reporting.
  • Assist with income tax journal entries and tax account reconciliations.

Other Duties as assigned

  • Assisting with various types of taxes through research and review.
  • Assisting with foreign indirect tax filings including GST and VAT.
  • Assisting the tax department as needed.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Minimum of 0 – 2 years related experience in an office environment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong ability to communicate with all levels of the organization as well as with governmental agencies, software vendors and customers.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills.
  • Intermediate ability with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Consistently detail-oriented, deadline driven and organized.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and perform multiple tasks/responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem solving and investigative skills.
  • Ability to prepare effective and efficient work papers, schedules, summaries, and analyses.
  • Corptax experience a plus.
