Tax Associate (Small Boutique Firm)
We love working with this firm and so will you! Our client is looking for a Tax Associate to help fill out a professional and dynamic tax department. Though they are a public accounting firm, they are not bound by many of the typical methods used by a lot of other public accounting firms. Employees are treated with respect and professionalism and are trusted to manage their time off responsibly. Therefore, there are no formal time off policies, and there is flexibility to work outside of a typical 8 to 5 schedule. The feeling here is that if you hire professionals they should be treated as professionals. Because business is booming for this firm, there is no pressure to sell or bring in more clients. They literally have more business than they know what to do with. This firm's clients are primarily High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth individuals that prefer to maintain a low profile. They attract clients like professional athletes and wealthy families by word of mouth. You will be consulting with clients on wealth management strategy. The work is interesting and challenging, and definitely not your typical 1040 work. In fact, most of the staff come from Big 4 or large firms where they deal with complex tax issues like these.
As a Tax Advisor for our client, you'll be responsible for preparation of complex federal and state income tax returns for individuals and a variety of entities.
Here's a list of skills necessary for the position:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (Masters in Tax is preferred)
- One to three years of recent experience in a public accounting firm (Experience with Big 4 or national firm preferred)
- CPA or CPA eligible
